In southwest Michigan within the center of Berrien County, Michigan sits a small village called Baroda. The village sits in Baroda Township. Baroda has a wonderful brick Main Street that steps you back in time. Baroda Michigan has homes ranging from small starter homes, retirement homes, ranch, colonial and modern homes. You can also find waterfront homes and farms in the area. The area has orchards, wineries, farms and antique stores. Baroda does not have their own schools. They are covered by River Valley School District, Lakeshore Public Schools and Bridgman Public Schools. Baroda has u-pick orchards with apples, berries. peaches, nectarines and plums. Both the Round Barn Winery and Baroda Founders Wine Cellar make their homes in Baroda.
Baroda has a lot of summer activities. They host three free concerts every summer called Music in the Park at the Baroda Village Park. Everyone brings lunch and enjoys the day with family and friends. The park sits along Hickory Creek and has a picnic pavilion, basketball and tennis courts and playground equipment. Baroda has a firework display on July 3rd each year at the Baroda American Legion Field. This is a well-known event sponsored by the Baroda American Legion and the Baroda Fire Department. Baroda is home to two wonderful lakes. Hess Lake is a 14-acre lake with nice lakefront homes and a 29-acre township park and boat launch on the west-side called Hess Lake Park. The park has a covered pavilion, baseball fields, soccer fields, nature trails and fishing. The lake is a No wake lake. Just east of Hess Lake is a 60-acre lake called Singer Lake. Both lakes have great homes and property around them that sell very quickly when they come on the market. This area is a favorite with people living in St Joseph Michigan and South Bend Indiana.
