North Scott Lake is a 98 acre All Sport lake and South Scott Lake is a 118 acre All Sport lake located in Bangor in central Van Buren County just south of  Jeptha Lakes. The lakes are separated by a small navigable channel. The lakes share the same fish, Northern Pike, Panfish, Catfish, Yellow Perch and Bluegill. The public access site with boat launch, toilets and parking for 7 is located on the North side of the lakes.  

Bangor, Michigan is a 2 square mile city located in Western Michigan within the heart of apple country between South Haven and Kalamazoo. The city sits in Bangor Township within Van Buren County. Close to the beaches and boating on Lake Michigan, Bangor is just far enough away to escape the high paced and high priced living of the lakefront. Bangor is a great place to live well with locally grown produce available at the community farmers market. A nice variety of restaurants, parks, and the trailhead for the Bangor-South Haven Heritage Water Trail are found in Bangor. For transportation Amtrak has a depot stop which was renovated in 2005 Pere Marquette depot. This community has its own school district consisting of one elementary school, one middle school and one high school. Bangor, Michigan has quite a few lakes.
